Bob Mould - 2022 04 09 @ Felton Music Hall, Felton, CA Show note: First time at the venue, I think it is a converted dance hall from the 1920s. Enjoyed the opener, H.C. McIntire. The show started to fill up, and there was a pretty decent sized crowd, who mostly were respectful, except for one guy who liked to yell out random stuff. Bob seemed in a good mood and seemed to have some extra energy. He paced from side to side during his set, and did a few extra flourishes on the guitar at the beginning and ending of many songs. Really nice intro to Walls in Time. After Hate Paper Doll, Bob says that he usually plays a slow one, but he's over slow ones right now. Recording note: It seems that I had dud batteries. I put new ones in, but after the opening set, my recorder showed a low battery alert. I droped the bit rate & sampling rate, removed the external mics and hoped that I had enough juice left. I made a quick decision to record with the DolbyOn app on my iPhone as well. It turned out pretty OK, but a bit compressed, so I decided to mix the two sources together to get a bit more of a full sound. 1 intro 2 The War 3 Flip Your Wig 4 I Apologize 5 Hoover Dam 6 Stand Guard 7 See A Little Light 8 Sinners & Their Repentences 9 Forecast of Rain 10 The Descent 11 You Say You 12 Walls in Time 13 Keep Believing 14 Never Talking To You Again [Grant Hart] 15 Hate Paper Doll 16 Voices in My Head 17 Sunshine Rock 18 If I Can't Change Your Mind 19 Detroit Rock City [Kiss] (short riff) 20 Siberian Butterfly 21 Something I Learned Today encore 22 The Ocean 23 Makes No Sense At All Taper: Loughney Location: Right side of stage Source 1: Tascam DR-40x Internal Mics > WAV Source 2: iPhone 11 > DolbyOn > WAV Mix: Audacity (Normalize, Fades) > Audacity (Mix Source 1 x Source 2) > CDWAVE (splits) > FLAC
