Bob Mould - 2023 02 23 @ The Chapel, San Francisco, CA Show note: Sold out show for Noise Pop 30. Bob warned the audience that he hadn't played a show in months, and apart from a little nervous energy, he sounded and played great. Good mix of Husker Du, Sugar, early solo and recent songs. A few stories about living in San Francisco, touring and the time Mark Eitzel opened for him at the Academy, NYC and left early, missing Pete Townshend, who was at the show. There's a few hoots and hollers, but generally not too many that disrupt the sound. I included some pics that I took. Recording note: Show was packed, and there was some jostling as I got in position during The War, and then when a couple pushed themselves in front of me, left in the middle of Hardly Getting Over It. First show with the BabyNBox and I'm really happy with it. 1 The War 2 Flip Your Wig 3 I Apologize 4 Hoover Dam 5 Stand Guard 6 See a Little Light 7 Sinners and Their Repentances 8 The Descent 9 Pray for Rain 10 Next Generation 11 Walls in Time 12 Keep Believing 13 Too Far Down 14 Never Talking to You Again 15 Hate Paper Doll 16 Celebrated Summer 17 Voices in My Head 18 If I Can't Change Your Mind 19 Siberian Butterfly 20 Something I Learned Today 21 The Ocean 22 Makes No Sense at All Support: Mark Eitzel Taper: loughney Location: rail on the middle of the balcony Lineage: Schoeps MK4 > BabyNBox > Sony A10 > WAV (44.1 kHz / 24 bit) > SoundForge (Fades, volume normalization) > CDWAVE (splits) > FLAC (44.1 / 24)
