HUSKER DU - October 6, 1984 @ Psychedelly, Bethesda, MD Here's a hot one - the band plays the start of a normal 1984-era set, then takes requests from the audience, with a bunch of covers and rarely-played songs ensuing. Where else are you gonna hear the Hskers plow through I Wanna Be Your Dog and Somewhere in the same set? Plus, guest vocals by some asian kid on a bunch of the songs? What more could you want? Quality is OK, somewhere around a B+ or B, I'd say. No one I trade with seems to take good generation notes, so like the others, I don't have any gen info. It's worth it just for the rare songs, though. Please keep posting rare Hsker shows! It feels like I've killed the flow! 01 Something I Learned Today 02 It's Not Funny Any More 03 Everything Falls Apart 04 The Girl Who Lives On Heaven Hill 05 I Apologize 06 If I Told You 07 Folklore 08 Terms Of Psychic Warfare 09 Powerline 10 Books About UFOs 11 I Don't Know What You're Talking About 12 Paint It Black 13 Amazing Grace 14 Somewhere 15 Never Talking To You Again / Chartered Trips 16 Real World 17 (intro) 18 I Wanna Be Your Dog 19 La Grange 20 Pink Turns To Blue 21 Ticket To Ride 22 Eight Miles High (cut)
